Advanced waterproofing solutions with a PUMA System

This presentation will describe overcoming waterproofing challenges by utilizing a liquid-applied PUMA system. PUMA is a cold fluid-applied waterproofing system with quick-curing technology providing long-term stability, permanent UV exposure resistance to impact, scratches, punctures and slip resistance. PUMA technical advances allow for waterproofing certainty where sheet-applied membranes are difficult to install due to complex design and construction requirements. Through this step-by-step presentation, you will understand how PUMA may solve common installation obstacles and how to properly specificity/install a PUMA system to suit project specific needs. Does My Wall Have to Comply with NFPA 285?

Adoption of 2012 International Building Code (IBC) and 2012 International Energy Code Council (IECC) may directly affect the prerequisite that exterior wall assemblies in multistory buildings are obligated to pass NFPA 285. Projected continuous insulation (CI) requirements have dramatically increased the demand for NFPA 285 compliant wall assemblies making ‘typical’ wall assemblies obsolete. Design and construction professionals may be code mandated to adapt their current master specifications, details, and construction practices upon new code adoption. Learn more
